The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Tourism is the highest state authority and part of the state government of Baden-Württemberg. The main tasks of the Ministry include

• dealing with economic policy issues relating to the European Union and other European institutions
• the promotion of innovation and technology transfer
• the general promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises and business development as well as the promotion of certain economic sectors characterized by small and medium-sized enterprises and business support
